World Cup Germany 2006
SCHENKER: Official mobility and logistics services provider to the 2006 Football World Cup.
Delivery of
equipment, including around 1,000 TV monitors for installation in
the Football World Cup stadiums and on the media tribunes in particular,
is right on schedule for June 15. Schenker is also responsible for
commissioning 400 laptops to be used in the local organizing
committee offices and media centers. Even the transfer of luggage
for all eight participating teams between the five Football World Cup
stadiums and the team hotels is being organized by Schenker.
Schenker's venue logistics managers are responsible for
coordinating the flow of goods to the stadiums. This is an area in
which Schenker, in its collaboration with the OC 2006 Football World
Cup, can draw on the experience it has gained in the past in the
provision of logistics support for numerous sporting events all over
the world. Schenker staff are already at work in the logistics
department of the Organizing Committee of the 2006 Football World Cup
Germany and are available to advise members of the OC 2006 Football
World Cup on all logistics issues related to the 2006 Football World Cup
Germany.
